It is so easy to get caught up in day-to-day life that we often don’t realize that for 1 in 6 Americans, hunger is a day-to-day challenge. Present day economic challenges have made it difficult for many to find jobs and acquiring sufficient food has become unaffordable for many. In fact, only 10% of those that are hungry are actually homeless. According to the USDA more than 50 million Americans do not have enough food in their homes and of that 17 million are children.
