Every pack of Tasty Bite you take home began its long journey at our farm in India.  Farm-fresh, hand-picked and expertly prepared by our fine chefs, each meal represents the delightful flavors and variety of Indian and pan-Asian cuisine.

Launched in 1995, Tasty Bite currently offers 39 products across 4 categories: entrées, sauces, rices and meal inspirations.  The flavors range from classic restaurant favorites such as a Channa Masala to unique fusion items such as the Tofu Corn Masala.  Our products require no cooking, have no preservatives, require no refrigeration and as our brand suggests, taste phenomenal!  You can take our products for lunch at work, use them as a side or main dish for dinner, or take them on the road while camping.  They will be sure to Spice Up your meal, as the recipe options are limitless.  You can use our Madras Lentils as a taco base, our Punjab Eggplant as a pasta sauce or use our Meal Inspirations as a salad topper!  Of course, you can always just eat them straight out of the pouch!

Our Manufacturing

With the use of a uniquely designed multi-layer retort pouch, Tasty Bite products remain fresh for 18 months.  During the manufacturing process, food is filled into these pouches, after which they are sealed and cooked to a finish in a retort oven under high temperature and pressure.  The sealing and construction of the pouch ensures that no bacteria or other degrading factors can impact the food – it is sterilized inside the pouch.  This process also ensures a high retention of the food’s original aroma, texture, nutrients and flavor. What’s more, our pouches are free of BPA.

Our manufacturing facility is the largest and highest quality of its kind in India, located outside the city of Pune, in one of India’s richest agricultural regions.  Our focus on quality is unrelenting.  Our factory is ISO-9001-2000, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), ISO14000 (environmental management), BRC (British Retail Consortium) certified, and FDA audited.

Our Community 

Over the years, we have engaged our community in a variety of unique ways.  As part of our commitment to our employees, we provide amongst the best health insurance available in both the US and India.  We have a scholarship fund for the education of the children of our factory workers.  Tasty Bite has a disaster relief program, where food is moved to provide relief in the case of natural disasters such as Hurricane Katrina, the Asian Tsunami and the earthquake in Haiti.  Tasty Bite also has unique programs in energy and agriculture.  Today, 80% of the energy used in the Tasty Bite factory comes from renewable sources such as sugarcane byproducts and food and crop waste.  Also, the Tasty Bite farm is used as a demonstration farm to educate community farmers on high yielding, sustainable agricultural methods.  As we work toward delivering great-tasting flavors of the world to you, we strive to make a difference in our own community as well.
