Creamy mac and cheese with a flavorful twist. Indian spices and Tasty Bite sauces add unexpected depth to this family-friendly favorite.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups dried pasta shells
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 cup frozen corn
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 cup Monterey jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 2 pouches TASTY BITE® Jodhpur Dal™

Split Pea Turmeric Curry

METHOD

  1. 1.
    BOIL water in large saucepan.
  2. 2.
    POUR pasta and salt in boiling water. Cook for 6 minutes and drain. Reserve pasta.
  3. 3.
    HEAT olive oil on medium heat in same saucepan.
  4. 4.
    SAUTE onion and pepper for 5 minutes.
  5. 5.
    ADD corn, peas, milk, and Tasty Bite® Jodhpur Dal™ and cook for 5 additional minutes.
  6. 6.
    ADD cooked shells and 2 cups of cheese to pan. Heat until cheese is melted.
  7. 7.
    SERVE immediately and top with remaining cheese. Enjoy!
